The Gather 'Round pattern features a fun setting of flying geese in the cabin blocks surrounded by a great scrappy pieced star border. You'll need 18 assorted Dark prints for this quilt. Remember that “Dark” is relative—your Dark prints could be pastels or brights! They just need to contrast with your Background and Accent fabrics. We recommend choosing 3 or 4 basic colors to work with and selecting a variety of prints in each color. You'll also need 9 assorted Background prints—keep these prints fairly close in value. Also, select one print (or solid) that will show up well against both the Dark and the Background prints to use as an Accent for the Flying Geese triangles that run through the Log Cabin blocks..
