Our Sparkler quilt will brighten up any room with it's fun scrappy sampler-look. Stars sparkle in both the blocks and the sashing. It's fun to piece and looks a lot more complicated than it is! You'll need an assortment of 20 Dark prints for this quilt. Remember that “Dark” is relative—your Dark prints could be pastels or brights! They just need to contrast with your Background. Select the Dark prints from 3 or 4 color families—some variation in value is fine. You need 5/8 yard each. You'll need 1-5/8 yards of an accent fabric. The accent will be used for the stars where the sashing intersects. Choose a color that will show up against the Dark prints that you've selected. You'll also need 1-3/8 yards of one fabric for the Background of the star blocks.
